Studying – Tang-Soo Do Karate

This month I am studying “Tang-Soo Do Karate”

Wondering whether I will be able to juggle both my karate studies and a HND in CompSci. The HND classes don’t look like they will take up all of my time, so we shall see.

This is the 23rd month of studying karate.

I have been pretty consistent in getting an hour or two practice per day over the past three months even with all the walking I’ve been doing.

Day #83 – Walking to Norway – Handewitt, Germany

Notes: The weather is crap. I’m soaked through. I’m stopping in Handewitt for the night. I called ahead and found a hotel not far from my route and I am going to stay there and get dry. Fuuuck. Tomorrow I will be in Denmark. Got to the border a day earlier than I expected but I don’t want to push on this afternoon.

Day #82 – Walking to Norway – Oeversee, Germany

Miles walked today: 11

Total miles: 950

Notes: The more I think about it, the more I am leaning towards a ferry from Denmark to Norway. And then spend a week or so walking up to Oslo. I do not want to be traversing Sweden and Norway in October. It also means I cut 500 miles off my journey because I don’t have to trek all the way up through Findland and then all the way back down through Sweden.

Today I finished reading “Appleseed: Prometheus Unbound” by Masamune Shirow

Omnibus versions of Japanese comic books. Easy to purchase in English language versions no matter which country you are in. Easy to give away to random people you meet along the road.

Day #70 – Walking to Norway – Hamburg, Germany

Notes: Hanging out with Mikhael for a couple of days. He’s going to let me use his spare bedroom and I can get a shower. I can also take this chance to go through my backpack and figure out what needs to be replaced. Mikhael is going to drive me over to a camping shop so I can get supplies. He also gave me three new sets of strings for my guitar. Total score.
