Go waste your life somewhere else
I have noticed that people who protest something whilst it is convenient and safe and doesn’t require much effort don’t actually have much of an opinion, and rarely one that is their own, or defensible, or valid, on the subject.
What they want is to shout a lot until someone pays attention to them.
One day we will have a website where people congregate and do this as an alternative to television.
It will just be an endless stream of people’s unfounded opinions on politics, religion, sports teams, television shows and other shit that doesn’t matter.

Touch Typist
I do not understand why computer keyboards do not have braille markers on each key.
Not so that blind people can type, but so that sighted people will, just by dint of time elapsed and common usage, learn braille.

Diplomacy is an art and I am a lousy artist
From several years ago.
“That is some fucking ugly string handling code.” I said as I looked over the shoulder of a colleague at the code he had written in TurboC.
“I agree it could stand to be prettified. I could write a prettification function.” He nodded.
“As opposed to now where it is a string petrification function? The only way that code could be prettified is with the backspace key.”
In my youth, I wasn’t known for my diplomatic language.

Running on empty
When we get hungry, our stomach growls which is the audible signal to the rest of the world that our stomach is empty and that we need to be fed.
Interestingly I believe the human brain works the same way.
When we stop filling our brain with new facts and useful knowledge our mouths start making noise which is a signal to the rest of the world that brains our are empty and we should be given something to read.
