This is the 22nd month of the 22 month sandwich course, full-time, in-person Bachelor’s at University of Glamorgan.
Final count of graduating class: 12 students. More than 60 students enrolled, several transitioned off the two year intensive into the second year of the regular four year degree.
It has been a lot of fun. Stress at times, studying full-time and working several contracts, selling off a small business and launching a new small-business. A lot has gone on in these past two years.
If you had asked me two years ago what changes would occur or whether I would graduate, I don’t think I could have even predicted half of the stuff.
I am only the second person, out of all my siblings, to graduate college. To even attend college.
I was a school dropout. Remedial everything. I am the epitome of the dumb kid that everybody wrote off.
I just completed a four year sandwich degree in two years with Honours.
I don’t think anybody ever thought that I would be here today.
I cannot say “I am proud of what I did” because I don’t think I did anything special. I just put in the time and did the work that was in front of me.
My Dad has said he is very proud of me. And my Mum too.
And I think that makes me happier than actually graduating.
I want my parents to be proud of me. I want them to know that even if I am not the smartest child, and as dumb as a box of rocks, I was able to achieve at least a little something.

Two paths diverged in the wood, and I…
I’m often given a choice of two projects or two paths to take.
And I am of the mind to always take both at the same time.
This usually annoys people who insist I, like they, take only one path at a time.
Why limit yourself to only one success when you can have two?
